Meet Your Surgeon

Christopher S. Sales, MD, MPH

Board-certified ophthalmologist, internationally recognized eye surgeon, surgical innovator and coach — now serving patients in Connecticut.

After training at Harvard and Stanford and spending a decade on faculty at nationally recognized programs including Weill Cornell and the University of Iowa, Dr. Sales brings world-class cataract, DMEK, and ICL surgery to the greater Hartford area through Starling Physicians.

Care Philosophy

There's a saying in medicine: patients don't care what you know until they know that you care.

My philosophy of care begins with listening and is built on a foundation of trust and innovation. I focus on delivering the most advanced, evidence-based treatments available, combining compassionate care with cutting-edge surgical techniques to help each patient achieve their best possible vision.

If surgery is not the right option right now, I'll tell you it can wait. If the best procedure for you is one I don't perform, I'll help you find an excellent surgeon who does. And if what you need most is reassurance, I'll give you that too.

— Dr. Christopher S. Sales
